Managing Editor: Sam Eggleston Sam Eggleston has been a freelance writer and editor for the past two years. Prior to his foray into the freelance world, Eggleston was a full-time journalist for nearly 10 years, working for Ogden Newspapers, Morris Communications and Gannett. He has nearly three dozen local, state and national writing awards ranging from sports to columns to features to coverage. Eggleston is a native to Michigan and currently resides there with his fiancée, Kim, and his daughter, Shaylyn.
Managing Photographer: Brian ConferA graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, Confer is the former staff photographer of
Traverse magazine. He and his family live in Benzie County, in the renaissance village of Elberta. He has exhibited in a number of shows and galleries, and his fine art graces private collections around the globe. Confer currently works as a freelance photographer whose images appear in many national publications and online.
