New salon opens in Gaylord

A new salon is welcoming customers in Gaylord, as longtime hairstylist and nail technician Karen Karsten made the move to open her own salon, Cheveux Salon.

Karsten has 17 years of experience in the salon business, and is a Gaylord native. The doors on Cheveux officially opened in late 2013, and it can be found at 829 West Main Street, inside Alpine Plaza in Suite C-2.

Karsten offers clients a full range of services including foils, color, haircuts, perms, straightening, special occasion hairstyles, and products, as well as nail services like shellac and acrylic, manicures and pedicures, aesthetic services, and waxing in private rooms.

Cheveux is open Tuesday through Friday, and by special appointment on Saturday.
