Cone Drive is expanding its reach and resources with the recent acquisition of China-based slewing drive manufacturer Jiangyin Huafang New Energy Hi-Tech Equipment Co., more commonly known simply as H-Fang.
Cone Drive, which is the world leader in double enveloping worm gear solutions, will be using H-Fang to further their globalization strategy while expanding their product portfolio, both key elements of the long-term growth strategy, says Cone Drive CEO Kurt Gamelin.
"Having operational excellence in both North America and China allows us to support and expand our customer base in both regions," Gamelin says.
H-Fang and Cone Drive are a good fit from a product, market and geographic perspective. The China-based company's product portfolio complements the offerings already being produced by Cone Drive.
