Natural gas equipment facility will open in Gaylord

Natural gas compression company Exterran is opening a new repair center in Gaylord.

Among the many services Exterran offers is parts and service for natural gas facilities and service industries of all kinds, not just their own. It's just good business--making field repair and service easier for each area of the country that has oil and gas industries active.

So in Michigan, what's needed currently is a valve and repair center, offering 24-hour services across the Midwest and Northeast. That includes Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

The valve shop offers an exchange program for most compressors, providing a new valve in exchange for an old one, to cut downtime. It also does rebuilds of valves and packing cases to manufacturer specs, with 24-hour turnaround service available, and builds new machined and custom valves to meet manufacturer's specs and customers' specified needs.

"As a global energy services company, we understand that operators are highly concerned with downtime, product quality and reliability," says Matt Sucy, regional VP for the Houston-based Exterran. "We offer a variety of services, with real-time quotes by phone for each, enabling our customers to quickly evaluate their options and make a decision. Such speed and convenience is critical to minimize downtime."

Exterran works in all parts of the natural gas industry, from maintenance, parts, equipment, and service, to operations, processing, and transportation. It operates in 30 countries worldwide.
