A new financial advising firm has come to Traverse City and is accepting new private clients.
Wedbush Securities opened the doors on its new location at 830 East Front Street, Suite 100, in Traverse City, at the end of May.
Kirt Kilbourne is the manager of the new location and says it's an exciting move for Wedbush, which has been expanding nationally in recent years.
The Traverse City office houses two teams of financial advisors. One, the father-son team of Mark and Jeff Spencer, specialize in retirement income planning. Mark has long experience in northwest Michigan's investment scene, and in helping individuals, families, and nonprofits with financial planning options. Jeff is a 2007 graduate of the University of Michigan and has five years of experience in financial services.
The second team is made up of Jerome Hartl and Heather Kilbourne. Hartl brings more than 17 years of experience in financial services to his clients and is a designated Chartered Market Technician. Kilbourne earned her MBA at Lake Superior State University and has more than 21 years of experience in financial services over a wide range of areas.
Also on staff is Leslie MacKinnon, who will serve as operations manager and client services associate for the office. She has more than 30 years of experience in finance.
