Tourism spending is up, a good thing for northern Michigan

Looks like 2013 was a very good year for Michigan tourism, and projections say this summer season will be good, too. 

Excerpt: Tourism experts expect strong spending numbers in 2014, too, despite a cool, rainy spring. The rough winter weather benefited some of the state’s winter sports and recreation industries, and the weather should warm in time for strong spring and summer seasons in popular spots such as Traverse City and Mackinac Island.
